We carry out the removal and disposal of electrical plant at coal and nuclear power stations along with distribution and primary sub stations throughout the UK.

Safe removal of SF6 gas

As the first UK company to be granted a licence to remove SF6 gas, our experience is second to none.

Safe removal from your location

We will safely dismantle the equipment on site, remove it to our premises for disposal and take care of the environmental implications - all with the minimum of disruption.

Full analysis and responsible disposal of your waste oil

Our trained team will sample your electrical plant for oil and open all containers on the loaded trailer. We have the facility to remove, store and process 160,000 litres of used insulating oil at any one time.

Secure storage of electrical plant

Our fully licensed premises are available for the storage of electrical plant. The storage area is a fully bunded, level, concrete site which has 24 hour security, state-of- the-art CCTV and security lighting.

Industrial high pressure cleaning

With self-contained jetters operated by fully trained personnel, we have the capability of cleaning oil contaminated transformer bunds and oil stained plinths.

As a producer of hazardous waste you will be aware that you have a duty and a legal obligation to ensure that your waste is collected, handled, treated, recycled and disposed of correctly. C. Soar & Sons (UK) Ltd has a proven track-record for our expertise and excellence in maximising the re-use and recycling of electrical waste to minimise the impact on the environment.

Our environment is in safe hands

We collect in excess of 20,000 tonnes of redundant electrical equipment from sites across the UK every year. Of this, nearly 98% is dismantled and recycled, meaning only 2% of waste generated at our premises is sent for landfill - no other operator in our industry can boast such a high recycling rate.

Environmentally-friendly facilities

Our facilities are specially designed and built to prevent environmental contamination. The yard is fully concreted with perimeter bund walls and dedicated high risk bund areas, meaning there is no possibility of leakage into the ground or water courses.

Distribution and transport

Our entire fleet of HGV’s have reduced pollution certificates and Euro 5/6 engines to minimise their impact on the environment. We have calculated that this has reduced our carbon footprint to that of a small mini-cab business operating in the local area. We are also FORS Gold accredited.
